Configuring Microsoft Intune for Microsoft 365 Business Premium

This guide will take you through each step of setting up Microsoft InTune with Microsoft 365 Business Premium. Setting up InTune is crucial for managing devices and keeping your organisation secure. You'll find instructions covering everything from registering for Intune to configuring Azure Active Directory and establishing device policies. If your business is based in Cyprus and you want to make the most of Microsoft 365 Azure for IT management, this guide will be especially helpful. 

GETTING STARTED WITH MICROSOFT INTUNE 

Begin by confirming that you have a Microsoft 365 Business Premium subscription. If you don't you can register for one through the Microsoft website. After securing your subscription, proceed with these steps: 

1. Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin centre

  • Go to the Microsoft Intune admin centre and sign in with your Microsoft 365 credentials. 

2. Configure a custom domain name for your Intune tenant 

  • Navigate to the Azure Active Directory section and add your custom domain. This step is crucial for managing your organisation's devices unde a unified domain.

3. Add users and assign licenses 

  • In the Intune admin centre, go to Users> All users > New user. Fill in the required details and assign the Microsoft 365 Business Premium license. 

4. Create groups in Intune 

  • Organise your users and devices by creating groups. Go to Groups> New group and configure the group settings as needed. 

SETTING UP DEVICE ENROLLMENT 

Next, we will set up device enrollment to ensure all devices are managed and secure. 

1, Configure device enrollment settings 

  • Go to Devices > Enroll devices> Enrollment restictions. Set up the restrictions based on your organisation's policies. 

2. Enroll devices 

  • Users can enroll their devices by going to Settings > Accounts> Access work or school> Connect. They will need to sign in with their Microsoft 365 credentials. 

CONFIGURING DEVICE POLICIES 

To ensure security and compliance, configure device policies. 

1. Create a device compliance policy 

  • Go to Devices > Compliance policies > Policies > Create policy. Define the compliance settings such as password requirements, encryption, and threat protection. 

2. Deploy device configuration profiles 

  • Go to Devices > Configuration profiles > Create profile. Choose the platform and configure settings like Wi-Fi, VPN, and email profiles.
