We offer two primary colocation models: using your own hardware or renting hardware form IBSCY Ltd. Each approach provides distinct advantages and considerations, allowing organisations to choose the most suitable colocation, dedicated server hosting, or data centre solution for their operational, security, and business continuity needs.

Server Colocation in Cyprus - Type 1

At IBSCY Ltd's Cyprus data centre, server colocation clients can choose to deploy their own hardware or acquire equipment directly through IBSCY Ltd. This server colocation model gives businesses in Cyprus, Greece, Europe, and international markets greater control over their IT infrastructure, dedicated server hosting equipments, hardware specifications, and future data centre relocation plans. The arrangement supports a seamless plug-and-play migration process, allowing equipment to be transferred efficiently to alternative data centres when required. IT is important to note that this own-hardware colocation option requires an initial capital investment in server hardware and related equipment. IBSCY Ltd's team remains available to provide detailed quotations for hardware procurement, server configuration, and colocation setup upon request.

Server Colocation in Cyprus - Type 2

In this server colocation in Cyprus model at IBSCY Ltd's Cyprus data centre, as with Type 1, clients are not required to invest in hardware upfront. Instead, they pay a montly rental fee based on the hardware resources they use, making this option suitable for businesses that need flexible hardware rental, dedicated server hosting, data centre hosting, and scalable colocation services without initial capital expenditure. This model enables substantial cost savings by removing the need for upfront investment in server hardware and related equipment. However, if there is a requirement to move equipment to another data centre, clients would need either to purchase and configure new hardware or buy the existing hardware at its current market value, which could potentially result in higher total costs than purchasing new equipment from the outset. For organisations in Cyprus, Greece, Europe, and international markets, this rented-hardware colocation option provides flexibility, predictable monthly costs, secure hosting infrastructure, and business continuity support, while still requiring careful planning around future data centre relocation and long-term infrastructure strategy.
